Feathertail Farm Community Garden
Our small farm is planting seeds for community projects and participation. We are on Stockbridge Munsee Mohican tribal land and working with them to co-create a land acknowledgement to honor the original caretakers of this land. Our four acres is home to medicinal plants, flowers, bees, butterflies, birds, and small critters of many varieties.
We are developing a project in partnership with Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood to bring children impacted by incarceration to learn about growing food, do yoga and have healthy snacks!
We stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter, BIPOC, and will be volunteering at Soul Fire Farm in the spring, to support the awesome work they do in the world.
Come learn biodynamic and organic food growing practices in community. Plant, water, weed, harvest + reading, studying, discussions, workshops, guest farmers, rituals, plant medicine-making, art-making, celebrations. We’ll donate seedlings, flowers, herbs, veggies and have enough for us all. If you’ve never put a seed in the ground, or you have gardening practices to share, this is a co-creation of sustainable beauty. Make a commitment of 2-hours/week. Consider that this growing project is about you in relation to ecology, learning to adapt in ways that ease stress.
Connect with us in an expansive way, so we can dream, heal and recognize our potential for slowing down and creating together. Email sadhanacenterforyoga@gmail.com for more information and to sign up.
